GENERAL
The V30 is a specific CIAT control system with an innovative design, developed from of our expertise and dedicated to fan coil units. The V30 control system is a CIAT electronic control system devised to control a non-independent air conditioning comfort unit (cassette-type, fan coil and ductable units...) for applications using 2 pipes, 2 pipes / 2 wires, 4 pipes with recycled air. The V30 control system is proposed: - For air control, acting on the ventilation. This application has drawbacks for vertical units: the coil, which is continually supplied with cold or hot water, alters the intake temperature measurement. - For water control, acting on the 230 V electrothermal motor 2-way or 4-way valves and the ventilation (recommended for satisfactory comfort). The V30 control system is available as a factory-fitted built-in version in a sill-mounted fan coil unit or as a wall-mounted version to be connected by the installation technician.
DESCRIPTION
The V30 control system is of the on/off type and can be configured on-site using 8 switches according to the selected application. It is equipped with a potentiometer to set the desired temperature, adjustable within a range of +/- 6 °C. The wall-mounted version is available with potentiometer graduations in degrees on request. Two set-point temperatures: heating (19°C) and cooling (default setting 25 °C). The cooling set-point can be configured on-site (25° or 23°C). The V30 has a selector to control 3 manual ventilation speeds. The thermostat operating statuses can be viewed by 3 LEDs: Comfort mode / Heating / Cooling. The changeover is handled automatically by the thermostat via a water temperature sensor or via external dry contact information. When heating or cooling is required, the fan is automatically activated at the speed selected by the user. The thermostat handles the post-ventilations required to shut down the unit. If the selector is set to Off, the thermostat keeps the room in which it is installed frost-free at a set-point of 8 °C. A dry contact input, configurable on-site, can be used to switch the thermostat automatically to Saving mode (automatic shift of heating and cooling set-points by +/- 5°C) or Frost-free (heating set-points +8°C). Consult our user manual for further details.
